No DescriptionDr. Bill Woodley & Family
In thinking about what to write about myself, I wanted to tell you right up front about my family.  Jan & I have been married for 35 years and have one son and one daughter.  Jan is a 4th grade teacher at Lewis & Clark Elementary.  Chip and Kate are grown now and have careers in the Seattle area.  I'm extremely proud of both my kids and in love with my wife.  What more could a man ask?
As for the professional side of my life - I studied at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and in St. Paul.  I know it's unusual, but the first university degree I received was in humanities.  I did a lot of reading and writing.  It wasn't until after a stint in the U.S. Navy that I got serious about science and medicine.  I graduated with my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1978.  Jan and I moved to Wenatchee at that time.
We live in East Wenatchee near the golf course.  Let me just say that golf is the second enduring passion in my life.  Some of the guys I play with have been in my foursome for over 20 years.
It has been my pride and pleasure to continue with my veterinary studies throughout the years with over 30 post graduate seminars.  You'll notice my diplomas and some of the graduation certificates in the hallway at the clinic.  I also love the internet especially a website named Veterinary Information Network.  It's made it easy to stay current with the latest in medicine and surgery.
Our company mission statement reads, "Helping keep peoples' pets live the heathiest, longest, happiest life possible."  The staff and I work hard at making our clinic a calm, quiet, clean place that owners and their pets enjoy visiting.  I want to see my patients "charging" in our door, excited to be here.  When I have a chance to explain my job to people, I always tell them I love my job more as the years go by.  There is always something new and challenging, and I love the mystery of diagnosis.  I have been extremely fortunate in my family, friends, and life's work.
