Acquiring a new pet is very exciting. Raising a kitten is a wonderful experience. To help insure that your cat remains happy and healthy, we recommend regular physical examinations, vaccines, parasite control, and spaying or neutering your pet. In the first year of life kittens are more susceptible to infectious diseases that is why vaccines are so important. We can also advise you about proper diet and behavior. Since some parasites can affect humans we highly recommend a fecal flotation test during the kitten series. We look for several species of worms and parasites that can affect you or your pet. Vaccinations may be different for some pets depending on when we see them for their first vaccine, Dr Woodley or the office staff can answer any questions or concerns regarding vaccines for your pet. If you cat will be an outside cat he or she will need a Feline Leukemia Vaccinations ($22.30). A Leukemia test is recommended for all young cats when being brought into a new home ($37.30).
