Acquiring a new pet is very exciting. To ensure that your new puppy remains happy and healthy there is a lot to look forward to while raising your new pet. To insure that your new dog remains happy and healthy, physical examinations, vaccinations, and properly spaying and neutering your pet are some of the things needed. Between 6-20 weeks of age puppies are more susceptible to diseases, which is why it is important to keep in schedule with the vaccinations recommended for your pet. We highly recommend a fecal flotation test during the puppy series. We look for several species of worms and parasites that can affect you pet. We are glad you chose us to guide you in raising your new pet. You can expect the following in your dog’s first year:

Vaccinations may be different for some pets depending on when we see them for their first vaccine, Dr. Woodley or the office staff can answer any questions or concerns regarding vaccines for you pet.
 
If you plan on boarding your dog at any boarding facilities, or having your dog groomed, a bordetella vaccine also known as “kennel cough” is required.
